Funeral Planning

The loss of a loved one can be a time of great distress but also of spiritual blessing. Our parish is committed to celebrating funeral liturgies that both honour the deceased and strengthen the faith of the living.

Of particular importance and value is the Church's desire to have the body present at the funeral Mass, even if cremation is to follow. Other important guidelines for a Catholic funeral are available here.

The website of The Gardens of Gethsemani, the Catholic cemetery, offers downloadable guides to a number of questions including funeral planning.

For the planning of the funeral Mass in our church, please contact the parish office prior to making arrangements with a funeral director in order to ensure availability of our church and clergy at the desired time.
