The Catholic Women’s League of Canada calls its members to grow in faith, and to witness to the love of God through ministry and service.

The Objects of the League shall be to unite the Catholic women of Canada:

to achieve individual and collective spiritual development
to promote the teachings of the Catholic church
to exemplify the Christian ideal in home and family life
to protect the sanctity of human life
to enhance the role of women in church and society
to recognize the human dignity of all people everywhere
to uphold and defend Christian education and values in the modern world
to contribute to the understanding and growth of religious freedom, social justice, peace and harmony

Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Women's League is offering a bursary of $500 for a student entering post-secondary education.

Criteria and guidelines

1. Applicant must be a practicing Catholic

2. The applicant must be a parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Parish for at least 2 years

3. Submit a letter (300 words or less) in applicants own words containing the following:

a) Summary of achievements, interests and activities in school, church and community

b) Summary of education plans to achieve future goals and aspirations

c) Letter must include: FULL NAME, COMPLETE MAILING ADDRESS, CONTACT NUMBER, E-MAIL NUMBER

NAME OF SCHOOL ATTENDED, FATHER/MOTHER/ OR LEGAL GUARDIAN’S NAME

POST-SECONDARY SCHOOL/INSTITUTION APPLIED TO/AREA OF STUDY.

4. A letter from the pastor stating that the candidate is a practicing Catholic
